Agios Stefanos or San Stefano beach is a great sandy beach on the north west of Corfu. The beach is several kilometers long and very wide. Modern beach facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas and showers are available on the south part of the beach which is accessible by the road, but the further you walk toward the north of the beach, the less people you meet. At the very northern tip of the beach you can swim naked if you like, flanked by high cliffs creating a wonderful feeling of privacy.
The village of Agios Stefanos is bustling with life and has many things to offer, from resaturants and bars of all kinds, to nice shops selling all kind of local souvenirs, super markets and car and motorbike rental. You can also take the road south to the beautiful little fishing harbour of Agios Stefanos. If you are there early in the morning you can even buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen as they come back with their morning catch! There is also a regular boat connection to the Diapontia Islands of Othoni, Erikousa and Mathraki, ideal for an adventurous daytrip.
